Paul Moffit
Paul Peyton Moffitt is a Lighting Designer and Production Manager based out of Philadelphia. He Graduated with a BFA Technical Theatre with an emphasis in Light Design from UNC-Greensboro in 2000. In Philadelphia Paul has designed for Celebration Theatre Company, Headlong Dance Theatre, The Wilma, Intrepid Theatre Company, Zen One Dance Collective, Philadelphia Theater Company, Mayflower Theater Company, Nicole Canuso Dance Company, Theatre Exile, and Akuka Theatre. In New York Paul has designed for everything smaller dance, Gina Kohlar, Ma-Yi Theatre Company, En-Act Theatre, and Kids With Guns TheatreCompany. Internationally Paul has toured with and designed for The Farber Foundry and World Inferno / Friendship Society. Paul has also instructed and been the Technical Director for Swarthmore College and Ursinus College. Paul is always exploring new ways to bring lighting to a collaborative effort. He enjoys working within a group of collaborators to create new interdisciplinary movement theatre and dance. He has also moon lighted as a Set Designer, Video Designer, and Sound Designer. Paul’s main hobby is sailing and he has built two boats. He has taken part in several boating races in Texas, Florida, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Paul has had several articles published about sailing in Duckworks Magazine about sailing.
