Eliza Jones

Musician

Eliza Jones graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Latin American Studies. A classically trained pianist, Jones expanded her musical training studying Criolla dance and guitar in Peru. She continues to run “First time Fiddler” workshops for kids at bluegrass festivals and teaches piano full time. She is an ASCAP songwriting grant winner and a member of several notable Philadelphia music projects including: Buried Beds, The City Wide Specials, and The Mural and the Mint. In 2004 Buried Beds won Philadelphia Magazine’s award for Best Band in Philadelphia. Her music has been featured in both commercial and independent media and her voice is heard on many prominent Philadelphia records.
